Starting My First Major Solo Multi-platform Project
Hey guys. I've recently started working on my first large multi-platform project. I can't wait to share it with you when I'm finished. So far, I've been working on the basic iOS user interface. I'm entering the most time consuming portion thus far, which is creating and filling the large database that I will be using. This database will feed into the various platform applications that I am creating. I'm learning so much about MySQL, so I'll be sure to make a post about that once I've finished this portion of the project.
Even though I specialize in iOS application development, it is necessary to become a jack of all trades in order to successfully complete many of the more interesting projects. It also seems like the more I learn in my field, the more I realize that there is still so much to learn. This is part of what keeps me interested. The ability to be creative and find new solutions to fulfill the presented demands.
As I've been working, I've been thinking of so many new projects that I want to take on, but I'm just pacing myself so that I can focus on producing quality material. I listen to various start up and entrepreneur related podcasts while taking my children to and from school. It's made me feel very motivated. I was in a bit of a slump for the past couple months, but I've also learned many new strategies to implement into my own entrepreneurial endeavors. It is also great to see many people from less than average backgrounds become successful from their own doing.
